George’s Corner I really don't know what to call this report but the BCRTA has experienced remarkable changes and growth this year and I thought a report about the Advantage and Benefits Programs offered to members of the BCRTA is in order.

Most of us don’t appreciate what the committees of the BCRTA do because we are not aware of the benefits of belonging to the BCRTA. Perhaps the most asked for information is about Travel, Extended Health and Home Insurance. For more detailed information, including a downlaodable PDF copy of the BCRTA Extended Health Care Insurance Plan with out-of-province/country Prestige Travel Plan—>  Read more

Bev Anderson’s review of our AGM in May show up in her photographic skills. Take a peak and find yourself with a colleague.

A Note on our Langley Scholarships by LRTA President - Sue MacKenzie

There has been a necessary change in the scholarship funding due to legislation beyond our control.  All retired educators (members and non-members) are encouraged to donate to the Langley School District Foundation retired teachers’ scholarship fund through direct ask, fundraising activities (add whatever other sources there are) sponsored by the Foundation.  There will be a group of volunteers formed soon that will be known as the Retired Educators of Langley that will organize activities and assist with the scholarship fund.  More information will be provided as when available.

COSCO is presenting a series of workshops at the George Preston Arena and In Walnut Grove on the following topics. For more information, time, and registration click on any of the following.

The LRTA has LRTA Executive members Annette O’Connor and John Salmon, attend both COSCO and the Langley Chamber of Commerce.
