What’s Coming up?

Langley Players next production is The Foreigner by Larry Shue- a comedy  January 25th to Feb. 24.  

A comedy about an Englishman named Charlie, who is whisked off by his friend to a fishing lodge in rural Georgia. He is overcome by anxiety over meeting new people, so his friend tells the proprietor that Charlie cannot speak English. He then proceeds to interact with the locals- some friendly, some not, and unwittingly uncovers a plot to take the lodge away from its owner, a sweet widow who has been kind to Charlie.

Shows start at 8:00pm Thursday through Saturday. Sunday matinees start at 2:00pm.

We suggest you arrive 1/2 hour before show time.

Live From the Met at the Langley Colossus theatre is showing TOSCA at 10 am on January 27th.  

The Langley Seniors Resource Centre has a bus trip to Science World Omni Max Theatre which is showing the Amazon Adventure Film January 31 from 10-2:30.  There are about 5 seats left.  Cost is $37 for LSRC members and $47 for Non-members. 

Ruth highly recommends Brookswood Secondary Production of Fiddler on the Roof.  Her grandson has a role.  The show runs from 

Feb. 7th to Feb. 17.  Call the school for tickets and Ruth believes there may be one or two matinee performances.  Check it out.

Bowl Hugs- set of 2 - $22.00  The bowl hug is made of 100% cotton and is microwave safe only.  Do not put bowl hugs on hot stove elements or into a heated range oven.  

Place the bowl of food to be microwave heated  (soup, oatmeal, etc) into the bowl hug and put them both inside the microwave.  When the food is warmed up, take the bowl and holder out without burning your fingers. The bowl hugs can be used to pass hot food around the dinner table.  

Every kitchen can use bowl hugs.  Bowl hugs make great unique gifts.  Material patterns may be different.

Also available is a strapped pouch that can hold both a cell phone and passport.  It has a security pocket for keys, credit cards, money.  This pouch is useful for joggers or in situations when only the essentials are needed to be carried securely.  $15.00

Heating Pad 15” x 6”  $30  Material is 100% cotton.   The pad is filled with mung beans packed into 4 sections.  Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes 30 seconds, place in bed and have toasty warm feet at night.  Heat for a minute and place on achy parts of the body.  The outer cover is washable.
